This is my first blog post on my new personal website. I built this site using Astro, a modern static site generator that’s perfect for content-focused websites.

Why Astro?

I chose Astro for several reasons:

Fast and lightweight: Minimal JavaScript means faster load times
Markdown support: I can write blog posts in markdown and they automatically become pages
Great developer experience: Easy to customize and extend
Perfect for blogging: Built-in content collections make managing posts simple
